I was the child who was always asking why?

Why is society set up the way it is?

Why are we taught like this?

Why do some people seem to thrive while others struggle?

Why do systems make life harder for the very people they were designed to support?

These are just a few of the relentless questions that seemed to spin through my head. I can't remember when they started. I only remember always looking at the world around me and sensing that things could be different.

That curiosity never left me.

It led me into social care, where I have spent the last 20+ years supporting children, families, communities, and professionals. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to experience work that I genuinely love: practice teaching, leadership, innovation, training, supervision, developing others, and helping people recognise their own potential.

But alongside that, I also witnessed another reality.

Meetings for meetings' sake.

Emails that say very little.

Systems that ask people to do the work of five while expecting them not to feel the impact.

Talented people becoming overwhelmed, burnt out, disengaged, or feeling unable to bring their full selves to the work they do.

And all the while, I found myself returning to the same question:

What if there was another way?

Not a perfect way.

Not an easy way.

But a more human way.

A way that recognises that sustainable change starts with people. That leadership is more than a title. That self-awareness matters. That our nervous systems matter. That how we feel influences how we think, lead, connect, and create.

Over time, I came to realise that the systems we build often reflect the relationship we have with ourselves.

When we are disconnected, our systems become disconnected.

When we are aligned, our systems begin to change.

This became the foundation of The Inner Axis Collective.

My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins by reconnecting to ourselves — our minds, our hearts, our bodies, our values, and our purpose.

Through coaching, training, consultancy, leadership development, and the Golden Thread Philosophy, I support individuals, leaders, professionals, and organisations to reconnect to themselves so they can lead with truth, regulate their nervous systems, and create better outcomes for the people and systems they are part of.

After more than two decades of helping others navigate complexity, I made the decision to take back control of my own path.

To step away from the expectation that success has to come at the expense of wellbeing.

To build something that reflects my values.

To show up fully as myself.

And to share my skills, knowledge, experience, and ideas in the only way I know how — authentically.

The Inner Axis Collective represents my commitment to individual growth, collective impact, and the belief that healthier systems begin with healthier people.
